First appearing in Paris in the 1910s just before the First World War - but saw its full expression between 1925 and 1940 - the Art Deco style made use of machine-age technology to reflect beauty in all aspects. This late 1930s display cabinet is produced using a rare blue walnut veneer that is quartered and patterned along the case front with a geometric contrasting inlay. Lower case opens to shelves with a three-shelf upper case accessed thru the glass fronted doors. A pull out shelf has integrated legs that descend to create a serving table.. Just gorgeous.
